So, I have these friends. They are FABULOUS! Seriously. They are! Sooooo, as a short departure from my regular blog posts, I want to introduce you to this pair of sisters Jamie and Jessica. I promise, you're going to love them.
Okay, ladies, I know you are both moms and both have a passion for bringing humor and giving grace in parenting. Tell the readers a bit more about this...
Great news for moms!
Even though you may have fed your family pizza for dinner 3 times this week, you ran over the diaper bag, and forgot to pack your kid a lunch for school, you can still be considered for the parent of the year award. Well, not really, but only because there is no such thing. As fellow moms we are here to assure you there will be days your kids don’t follow the manual they came with, oh wait, that doesn’t exist either. We have to stop ranking our parenting abilities based on the condition of our house, the disarray of our hair, and yes, the behaviors of our children. After reading this collection of stories and doing the chapter challenges, you may proudly join the parental rank of “Perfectly Imperfect.”
****I love that and I can relate! So, tell us about your background and who you are.
Jamie Lightner is married her high school sweet heart and she is blessed with 4 children. She began writing twelve years ago to find the “funny” in “spilt milk”, ‘cause when you have kids, you have lots of spilt milk. Jamie is also a Life Coach through TurningLeaf Wellness Center and has a passion for helping others believe in who there are and truly enjoy the many adventures of life. Jess Warren was set up on a blind date 1500 miles from her small Michigan hometown and she was crazy enough to go! She moved to Colorado and fell madly in love. After she was married she dragged her husband back to Michigan. Jess has two beautiful toe heads. While she watches her oldest son go through his first year of school she is walking her youngest through chemo in a fight against a brain tumor. Through it all, however, she sees God blessings and is thankful for all that she's been given.
***Both of you are truly blessed by God. What can you share with us about your book that will be debuting very soon.
Do you ever have those days when you say to yourself, “Well, there goes my mom of the year award.” Maybe you yelled at the kids, or maybe your kid threw a fit in the middle of the grocery store. Or even better, you forgot to pick up your kid from soccer so another mom dropped him brought him home, ‘cause ya know, those perfect moms don’t forget to pick up their precious cargo. And this perfect mom probably ate a healthy breakfast and brushed her hair today too, meanwhile you are in your sweat pants, you can barely call that mess on top of your head a bun, and for breakfast you ate your kid’s leftover bowl of soggy captain crunch. Well, we are here to tell ya that you are not alone!
This book is a collection of stories along with a series of challenges that will help you realize that although you are imperfect, you can still be the perfect parent your kid needs. As parents it is easy to carry a “judgment” bat around and use it to beat ourselves up emotionally about all the places in our lives we don’t meet our expectations. Every child is different; there is no manual for exactly how to be the perfect parent. It’s time to put down the “bat” and join two sisters, as we embrace all the imperfections of this perfect adventure of motherhood. And who knows, maybe after reading this collection of our mishaps and kid catastrophes, you just might feel like you ARE the perfect mom.
****So, tell us why you're here and what you need from us.

So, if you are up for a little fun, visit our blog www.jamielightner.blogspot.com and cast your vote on the survey or give us your opinion in the chat box. Here are our title ideas so far.
