Do you believe that prayer works? The Bible says...
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." James 5:16
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile. “Because you have said, ‘The Lord has raised up prophets for us in Babylon,’" Jeremiah 29:11-15
Prayer is powerful.
As a Christian I believe I serve a mighty God and a God who cares about every detail of our lives. I believe He loves the very old and the pre-born. I believe that He is honored when we pray with confidence!
This is Grace.
Grace is a little Amish baby who is very, very ill. Her father "DR" is my cousin and his wife "L" is a precious mother of 6. Grace is 5 mos old and she has two sisters and three brothers.
In February Grace contracted 2 strains of meningitis. It was also recognized that her liver was functioning very poorly. She was released after some improvement but returned shortly after. The 2 strains of meningitis are still wreaking havoc on her little body and she is having a very difficult time. One of the strains is affecting her blood and the other is affecting her spine (this is the worst kind of meningitis the Doc said one can get). She may also possibly need a liver transplant.
This little baby is very sick and needs your prayers.
I'm receiving her updates daily so that I can inform those who have committed to praying for her on Grace's Facebook page.
Would you please pray for Grace? And her parents? I cannot tell you what this means to this sweet Amish family who through prayers are being touched in prayer by the world around them.
